This week our host is Karisma @ http://karismaskids.blogspot.com/
Here's her assignment:
"I want you to take a trip down memory lane, and keep right on going, right back to your childhood. And I want to hear "THAT STORY". You remember the one? Yes, you do! The one your parents, siblings, extended family or friends, would never let you forget, live down or get over!"
************************************
I have a few, but one that sticks out the most. My brothers were getting on my nerves and had me very flustered. I yelled at them, "You better stop it! You are getting on my LEFT nerve!"
To this day when I say, you are getting on my nerves or that's getting on my nerves, my family will ask; The left one? or The right One?
It wasn't funny then, but it is now. So there you go, my little trip down memory lane.
Some time Monday I'll try to get picture, but was unable today.

out of the mouths of babes. You should now tell them you have no nerves left.
Yes, no nerves left would definitely be the thing to say!
This has been a very educational topic.... I've learned that we have Left and Right Nerves, and elsewhere just how many beans amounts to a nose full.
I love it! I had not thought of nerves that way. We do however, often refer to the brain in such a fashion. LOL
Kids say such sweet things. And, you know brothers. They'll never let you live that one down.
How funny. I like it. Our son once said something on the same wave here...using the word with a whole new meaning that is...
It was hot in the car ---
He leaned up from the back seat to tell us he was 'suffercating'
Hahaha ! that I will keep in mind and the next person who will get on my nerves I will tell her that it is my right one !!
Love it!

Hilarious! I agree with Pamela's comment: none left.
Yeah!
I love how kids get it all mixed up. Cute story.
Just as long as you don't have two left nerves!
ha! ha! Left nerves are probably the best anyway.
Too funny!
Speaking of messing up words as kids, my dad was getting the Christmas decorations out of the attic one year. One box was labeled "miscellaneous". My younger brother asked my dad what it said and when my dad told him, my brother exclaimed "Oh yeah, I remember her!".
I love this kind of thing; the one word I never got right was "practically". Instead, I said "praclity".
Love how this one has stayed with you...and that you can laugh about it now :).
I love this story.
As far as siblings are concerned, nerves are bullseyes.
That's too cute! At least he'd been warned.
Left instead of LAST - gotta love it! I'm gonna try that on my kid, and see if she notices. Or cares.
Priceless! I think I'll use that on lil man tonight!
Very cute! :)
This was a great story...Exactly the kind that haunts you for life...funny!
That is funny. It was probably funny then, just not to you. I assume you meant your last nerve, which I have had a few people walk on. It is funny though, what you said.
I didn't play today but I'm visiting everyone anyhow :o) Saw the picture of yourself on the other post and what a cutie!! Love your story too LOL 'left' nerve. Darn brothers LOL
i love it! those slip-of-the-tongue stories are such great ones for families to repeat over and over.
LOL
I would imagine your immediate family will not be forgetting to use this one too :-)
That sounds exactly like something my youngest would say.
