Just when I needed you most

NOT LIKE THE SONG BY Randy VanWarmer, BUT JUST THE OPPISITE.
Thank you Jettie for my homemade journal book! It really did come in when I needed it the most! I had forgotten about giving you my home address until it came in the mail, so it was a wonderful surprise! Why did I say when I needed it most? My beautiful KB is going to be gone all this week because she is gone to church camp. This is her first time really away from home, except with family. Plus, I can't talk to her every night before she goes to bed. I think that's the hardest part. But, my baby is growing up and I know she is having a BLAST! She really needed this break because she has been helping me with momma so much.
The second reason this wonderful package came in when I needed it most:
Momma is getting to more than a handful! She is becoming very needy and can become mean as HELL! Before I could get a family meeting together my oldest brother told momma that I was going to put her on Hospice. He didn’t say that I was thinking of it, why I was thinking of it, or that I was going to ask everyone his or her opinion. Mom and I got into a heated argument. I told her why I was THINKING of this and that I wanted us to talk about it. After about an hour, she calmed down then told me why she didn’t want Hospice. She said that if we put her on Hospice and she went into respiratory arrest we would not be able to get her off Hospice fast enough to put her on a ventilator. She said that if we put her on Hospice and she went into respiratory arrest we would not be able to get her off Hospice fast enough to put her on a ventilator. So, I guess we will not do Hospice and wait till September to get help.
Well, I’m running out of time. Thanks again Jettie! You are a real sweetie!
Hope you have a wonderful day! Hopefully I will have time to come and visit soon!!!!!

Our new normal

While momma was in the hospital, I was able to catch up on some rest and some housework. But my rest did not prepare me for what the Dr said we were coming home to. I thought momma had caught my cold, but that wasn’t it. Her COPD has progressed. Momma did not respond to any of the medications while she was in the hospital. Now she is in a hospital bed and a wheel chair. Momma has to have someone with 24 hours a day and cannot do anything for herself. The Dr said this would be our new normal unless she started sliding down hill. Now her COPD is affecting her heart as well. We haven’t had any good days since we come home. I’m going call her cousin this week and ask her about Hospice because with her insurance we can’t get the help we really need. Her Medicare doesn’t take effect until September. If momma is still with us in September, we can go through Three Rivers and get a sitter and a nurse.
I can’t say if I will be online much or not. I do miss everyone so very much!
Take care!

Mom is in the hospital

She is better today. I'm hoping they will keep her in about a week to make sure she can get better plus give me some time to catch up on things I need to and want to. I don't have much time for the computer today, but hopefully in a day or 2 when I'm caught up I will.
Hope you all have a wonderful Week end!

Showing my true colors!

I took this quiz and Just had to share! :)
"How Mississippi are you?" with the result 100% Mississippi.
You're a true Southern Child, and take pride in your heritage. Being 100% Mississippi isn't a BAD thing! Heck, we got The Grove, Elvis' birthplace, and know that the fizzy liquid in your cup isn't 'pop' or 'soda' it's a darn Coke! So embrace your Mississippi-ness, ya'll!!.

Heck yea!

Sending out Congratulations to all Grads

And to a few of my own!
This year Dan's youngest brother graduates from high school. It is so had to believe!

John was just a baby when Dan and I got married. I'm so proud of him! Also, my oldest niece graduated from nursing school as a RN with her Bachelors. My uncle that just passed away a few months ago had one granddaughter to graduate high school and the other two from college. I know Uncle Buddy would be proud of them girls!
Also, yesterday we had a special program for all the high school graduates at the church. I couldn't help but to cry! Yes, I knew some of them even went to school with some of their parents, but what really got me is the reality that my Rocker Dude will be a senior next year.
So, here’s sending these Grads and your Grads and Big Congratulations!

Rain Rain go away Kitten wants to go out and play!

Spring has sprung and the garden is growing, not! We have had more rain than days in this month. Matter fact we have had more rain in the last 6months than we have ever had. We are going to have to replant the garden. All of our seeds rotted in the ground. I'm hoping the rain will slow down enough for we can replant before it's too late in the year.
I love fresh veggies, so I'm hoping we can get a brake soon. I went and bought me a few big pots to plant some tomatoes, so maybe I can at least have those. The only thing is I want have enough to can. I guess I will survive, but I rather have my own canned tomatoes than buying dice tomatoes in a can.
I think the biggest issue I have with all the rain is we can't really get outside and play! Yes, KB has had a few softball games and JB will too, but really getting out of the house during this time of year is out of the question at this time. When we are able to go outside without rain, it is so hot and humid you can’t enjoy yourself, little long breathe.
Other than weather issues we are all good here. After today, JB only has 3 more days of school and we will have all those other stupid issues behind us until next year. Even though things have settled down here, I have cut our school off even though we haven’t finished our year. In about 2 weeks, I plan to do school with KB 2 days a week through the summer then another break in July before we start back. This will give her and me 2 days a week and about 2 hours a day of our time. Rocker Dude has decided to wait till next January before he takes any college classes. I told him that would be just fine. I wasn’t trying to rush him, but didn’t want him to get bored either. This kid LOVES to learn. I can’t believe he will be a senior this coming school year! Where has the time gone?
Well, I need to go get a bath and get to mom’s.
Hope You have a wonderful day!
