This weeks host for Fun Monday is Blue Momma@Life in the Fish Bowl & here is her assignment:
I want you to show me your......projects. More to the point, I want to see your unfinished projects. I have so many that I really need some reassurance that I'm not the only one. Home improvement projects are what I have in mind, but it you don't have any of those show me any kind of project - needlework, cooking, scrap booking, etc. You can even show me your spouse if they qualify as a work in process.

My camera is still broke! I don't have my nieces at the moment since they came and picked it the day before Thanksgiving. But I do have some pictures of when I 1st started my project on my house. So, I can walk you through most of the steps.
We started remodeling this summer and because my mom got real sick, me baby sitting and other life's joy I'm still not done. Hopefully during Christmas break I will finish unless life throws me a curve ball.
We have repainted the kitchen, hallways, all 3 bed rooms and both bath rooms. We have put new or in the middle of putting new floors in the kitchen, hallways and both bathrooms. We also need to strip and redo the living room and all 3 bedrooms. They are the only rooms with the original hardwood floor and when we finish the rest of the house which should not take long we are going to do them last.
So here are a few pictures. (Gosh! I can't wait till I get my new camera!)

These are before and after pictures of my kitchen floor. Even thou you can't see the unfinished part of the kitchen floor it's still there. I hope my hubby will take time during Christmas break to finish that part since I have no clue.
That is KB's floor. Not all the hard wood looks that bad they all still need to be done. The paint all in the floor because the kids have helped me is why we will do these floors last.
This is the boys room when we 1st started. I have put their room back in order, but we still haven't put their border up. Matter fact that is mostly what all the rooms need except the kitchen and hallways like.
The paint not completely cleaned up in places is what you don't see in the kitchen because I have either cleaned it, or covered it with paint or like this....
You also can't see the ceilings. Dan Dan tried to put the tear drop affect on them, but instead made them look bad. So, my brother told me that during Christmas he would help me with the ceilings and the wood floors.
We have come a long way since we 1st started, but I would still love to have the house finished before Christmas or at least before the new year.
Plus, the picture you saw with my new wood floor has an unfinished project of my quilt. I plan to finish also during Christmas and start my ABC quilt.
So!, there you have my unfinished projects for this year.
PS. I wished I had realized when we 1st started that I was going to make the dining area of my kitchen our class room. I'm thinking of taking the border in that area down and do something different, but haven't made up my mind.

What a tremendous amount you have already accomplished!
I have a paint spot like that, but it is on the carpet as you enter my bedroom! I finished the painting, but managed to spill a bucket of oil based primer just past the drop cloths.
I covered it with a throw rug. Eventually we'll recarpet, but that is another unfinished project!
I love re-doing houses. Our first home was built in 1914 and we had a lot to do to bring it up to par. Loved every minute of it. Now with kids, I don't like any home improvements.
Don't you just wish there was a magic wand to wave around so that everything just gets dealt with? Sigh...
That is a big project, well done on what you have achieved so far and good luck for the rest!
Is that chalkboard paint in the classroom? What a great idea--if you can handle chalk. I have a chalk phobia. I like the *idea* of it though:o)
So funny, I immediately thought craft projects. I don't think I could even bring myself to think about unfinished house projects!
That's an amazing amount of work - I haven't accomplished near as much after 14 years in my current home!
Wow. You've really been busy. Good for you!
You've done a lot already! And, I'm sure the floors'll look great once completed.
Painting walls! I helped paint two of my daughter's bedrooms. We even painted the ceiling in one because it wasn't all spackled. It is a lot of work! I still haven't helped my son with his bedroom yet. I don't look forward to it. Then we need to go outside and paint the house.
WOW!!! now I really feel tired, bye, it's nap time.
I keep eyeing new houses and dropping hints rather than do any more work to this one (45 years old...the house, not me!)
I don't enjoy home improvement projects, though I am surrounded by them!
I'm taking my hat off to you at all the work you've done already. Wow!
remodeling would be okay if you didn't have to live in the middle of it. been there, done that, and don't want to do it again.
You have a lot of irons in the fire gal. Don't wear yourself out
I happened across your blog and this post caught my eye. We are at the end of a 4 month re-model. We turned a bonus room into a Master Suite (which involved adding a bathroom). Now we just have to finish painting every other room in the house and get the kids moved into their new room. It has been exhausting!!
Looks like you have done a lot of work. It all takes time. One day, it will all be done.
That is a lot of painting and other work you have done. It takes a lot to do so much refinishing. I have been wanting to do the shower room but have not got to it in the last couple of years, and it is a small room.
holy cow...you make me feel lazy for just having to clean! I bet that floor will look fantastic
