LABELS

Labels can be a good thing because if things were not labeled then you would not know what you are getting. Also, I think people over label and label things that don't need a label. We tend to label people before we know the whole person. We also allow circumstances to label us or others.
Let me give few examples: Okay, you say you a Christan and people automatically label as a sour puss or over bearing. Lets say you are white and people say you are a racist. Lets say you hit a stroke of bad luck and get behind on your bills and skip a few or late on a few, then you get labeled as being a slacker. This list could go on and on, but I think you get the point.
All I am saying is instead of always trying to label things or people because of what someone else has done in the past, we need to be more open minded and except them for who they are.
And, YES!, I talk to me all the same. That is part reason for my post, as a journal and insight.

This is so true. A woman is often labelled snobbish or worse, if she is shy or doesn't feel like talking. Home school families are labelled by some also. It is hard not to have judgements based on past experiences, but we all have a world view based on what we have been taught and what we have experienced. It is a lifelong struggle to wipe away the labels people give us, and more so, to challenge our own world view.
