The letter T

"T" stands for thankfulness! I'm so thankful for my home, my children, husband and family. I'm also thankful for all the friends I have here in the blogging world and on TDJ. Instead of complaining of what I don't have, I'm thankful for I do have.
"T" also stands for trust. The degree to which one party trusts another is a measure of belief in the honesty. Sometimes we seem to trust & believe in others more than our own self. It is good to be able to trust others, but we need to trust in our self that much more.
I have been thinking of this a lot lately with some discussions of being a mom or home school mom. Just look with in and trust your heart.

Congratulations & Thank You is in order!

I would like to say congratulations to Chrissy! @ http://learning-adventures.blogspot.com/. She is the Big winner of the Home School Mom Purse. I also like to Thank Summer @ http://momisteaching.com/ for having this wonderful contest. I also would like to thank everyone who voted for me.

The letter S

"S" stands for "SAM I AM" I bet you thought I was talking about the book. Nope! I'm talking about my next to oldest brother and boy does he ever fit the name. I'm not one who has picks & I love all my bros the same, but Sam seems to be the one I'm closest to.
"s" stand for sister which I have never had, but thanks to the Denim Jumper I have a bunch!

The letter R

"R" How many times have you heard your kids or yourself as a kid say, Ready or Not Hear I come? Probably like me, a 100 times over. Well, that is how life hits you at times. But it doesn't holler our to let you know it is fixing to get ya. That just sucks if you ask me. I hate surprises and change, but sometimes you just have to deal with it.
"R" Also stands for reading. I'm not gonna lie. I have never liked to read very much, but always made 100's in school in that area and never understood how. As I've gotten older, started homeschooling, found out my kids and I have dyslexia and so on, I've come to realize the importance it is to everyday life. I have found so many ways to bump my kids and my interest and improve our reading skills. The best way for us is Listen to the book while we read.

Reasons to love Home Scooling

I came across reasons to love homeschooling post at http://momisteaching.com/. I thought it was really neat, so I thought I would come up with my own little list. Feel free to share your own reasons. Post it in your own blog and see what reasons others have to love homeschooling.
1) I don't have to hear my kids coming home whinning about how the teacher is mean.
2) We can take field trips as much as we want.
3) If something happens we can be flexible and not do school that week.
4) We don't have to worry about getting up early and getting dressed.
5) I get to spend that x-tra quality time with my kids.
6) We can go as fast as they want or as slow as they need.
7) I can teach them the best way for them and I don't have to teach them everything the school pumps into them if I don't care to teach it.
8) My kids are so much happier. (If your kids are happy, you are happy!)

Fun Monday this week!

Fun Monday this week!
hosted by: Sayre ( http://sayresmiles.blogspot.com/)

Your assignment for Monday, 9/17 is this:

Brush off your interview skills. Talk to everyone who lives in your house. I want to know what their, and your, favorite piece of art is in your home. Photographs do not count. If there was a fire in your home, everyone would grab photographs, but what is the non-photographic piece of art you would grab on your way out - and why? (Edit: These don't have to be paintings - these can be wall hangings, statues, lumps of clay by your child, anything that is artistic expression of some kind EXCEPT photographs.)
I'm sorry I was unable to do this Monday, but I still want to do it.
If my house was to catch on fire this is a list of what each person would think they would try and grab........
Dan Dan (my husband) His guns or at least most.
Aron (my oldest) his guitar and golf set.
Josh (my middle child) His 2 guns and baseball gear.
Katie-Beth (my baby) her porcelain dolls and tennis set.
Me - Besides my family, if I had a chance I would try to crab my quilts and most of my candle collection.
Yeah!, I bet you would say my computer and school books, but I can get new, but some of my quilts, even If I made new, wouldn't replace the ones I do have or working on. Same goes for my candles. I have some you can't go to the store and buy. Either a friend made some or I did. I'm not very materialistic, but I do have a few things I hols dear. Plus, when my daddy died last year, my step mom gave me a ceramic vase with a picture in it that my dad made in 1973. It's the only thing I have of my daddy. I think I would grab it first.

A Special Thanks to Katherine!

In my post below I told a little about my trip to NC. I have to say that I really love the Internet. You always here about all the bad that goes on because of the web, but hardly any good. Well, I'm here to tell you it can be a wonderful place. 3 years ago I was real leery of the net and only talked to family, then I found the Denim Jumper and I was also introduced to the blogging world there. I have met some beautiful people in both places. Well, the other day when I got the phone call about Rory I went to the DJ and asked if anyone there was from NC and see if they could help me find my way, my way around NC, a good place to stay and so on and so on. Bless her heart, Katherine replied and was there for me. Bless her heart, when I called her and her family came and took me out to eat. I wish I could have spent more time to get to know this fine lady, but with Rory in the hospital and all I wasn't able. Kat may not think she did much, but just extending her hand to me meant a lot. She didn't have to do this, but she did. I'm so thankful for my wonderful friends I have from the DJ and here in my blogging world.
Kat!, I thank you from the bottom of my heart! You did more than you know!

My trip to North Carolina

I have no pictures for this trip. I left the family reunion in such a hurry trying to get there, that I left my camera there. I really wish I would of took it with me. NC is very pretty and I have never been that far up past Birmingham, AL. The 12 hour or plus drive wasn't that bad except the Atlanta, Georgia exchange. Oh, my Gees! That part was a trip. On the way there I missed my exit in Atlanta and scared myself to death, but found my way pretty fast. I turned my cell phone off on the way back home for no one would call when I got in that one area and get lost again. Ha~
I got a phone call Friday night telling me my oldest brother had gotten sick and was in North Carolina University Hospital. (Rory is one of daddy's kids from his 1st marriage) Okay! I had a family reunion Saturday on my mom's side and there was a lot of drama behind it, so I had to go. (That's a whole other post in it self.) I was torn between but they said Rory was okay. I made a quick appearance at the Reunion to satisfy my mom, then off I went. When Rory's wife and I got to the hospital Rory was the talk of the Heart Floor. They couldn't believe he was able to get that big rig in that small parking. I just feel sorry for the person who has to come and get his rig. LOL! We didn't find out till the next day exactly what was wrong with Rory. All we knew it was his heart, but didn't know exactly what. He had open heart surgery 2 1/2 years ago and the graphs he had which was 3 were completely closed, plus he had one more blockage. In a way it was good because they couldn't do anything with the 3 graphs that were closed, but because of the other blockage they were able to put a stint in. They told him that he needed to take his medicine and eat right or he would die. He will be 47 in December. That's young. I told him he better straighten up or I was gonna personally whoop his rear end.

I'm back home

Sorry I have not been on. I had to leave Saturday to go to North carolina. My brother had a heart a tack. I've so much to tell about my trip and stuff to catch up on, but just got home. So, I'll catch up later.
PS. He is okay!

The letter Q

"Q" stands for Queen. Yes, I'm the queen of this house. I have a few lady friends and a few nieces that have tried to come in and take over. NOPE! Ain't happening! This is my house, my kids and my husband. I have a few places that are my domain, don't come in and make me feel you are pushing me aside. If you want to be Queen, find your own house, kids and husband!
"Q" also stands for quilts. When I 1st married Dan Dan his grandmother started showing me how to make quilts. I have always thought them to be neat, but because of others harping on me not being able to sew, I stopped before I really tried. When we started home schooling, I kept trying to find someone help me make costumes and such. I finally got me a sewing machine and started teaching myself. I do okay with costumes, not bad at clothes, but I do very well at quilts. (Quilt tops so far) I went back to Dan's grandmother and told her and her eyes lite up like a Christmas tree. She pulled out a lot her stuff that night and she even said, "I'm so glad I finally have someone I can give all my quilt stuff to and my legacy live on. I almost cried. But I find working with quilts is really relaxing. Also, I'm thinking when I get done with this ABC meme of making a quilt out of the ABC's I have copied off the net and ironing them on different scraps of material and sewing them together. That way I'll have a beautiful quilt and a great memory. (The picture above is a quilt top I have started. I have got about 15 more rows to make before I can complete.)

The letter P

"P" stands for Pontotoc. This is where I live. Pontotoc means = The Land of the Hanging Grapes.
"P" also stands for Parent. Yep, that's me. Being on the other end of the stick makes you appreciate your own parents a little more. Being a parent is not always that easy, but it has its own rewards. I'm proud to a parent, a home school parent at that.

Here is KB after school today.

I couldn't help but to take this picture. LOL! Bless her heart. Before I took the picture I ask her what was wrong and she said, "Well, you wore me out today" (schooling that is) I thought it was cute, so I couldn't resist.

My Red Neck Hubby & boys!

My husband and boys are on top of our shed practicing shooting their bows with their homemade target. I wish I could have got the pictures to come in better, but I don't know how to work this new camera.

I thought I would share.

I read a post over at Mom is Teaching about how much it cost to home school. Plus I have talked to a lot of over home school mom's, here, TDJ and in my home town. Those of us that don't have a big income or do have multiple kids at different levels, it is hard to buy or get what we need to teach them. The web, the library, book sales and bargain bins have been my best friend. I have found so many web sites from my Internet buddies and a few on my own. I thought I would share some I have used, do use or some I haven't got to yet. I do hope that this will benefit someone. Oh, I do have a few friends that don't home school, but would like to do little extras with their kids to help them improve in school, give them a jump start early in life, or just something to be able to sit down and spend some quality time with them.
Not all are free, but may have free samples or worth the little cost they ask. Also, some of these sites will give you an idea of what you want or need.

Brothers!!!!!!

I have 4 brothers living and they all are completely different. Sam (next to oldest)is a lot like me, happy go lucky. Roroy,(the oldest, living) He is a mess. Him and Sam are the one's that pet me most of the time. His wife of 25 years is jealous of me and I have no clue, except we have never fought. I only get to see him maybe 2 times a year, but when we are together, we are something else. MIKE! (The one just older than me.) I just don't get him sometime. He is the quite one and very backward. I'm a little ticked at him at the moment. Poor dude has the worse luck with women than I have ever seen anybody. I'm not gonna say how many times he has been married, but every time, after that one year mark his women turn into "jsdhkljfhdskvhkdvhl" and instead of clinging to family, he runs and wont talk to us. I really thought this one was it. She really fooled me I guess. I don't know what's going on, but he can't say it's not. I have called him for a week and he wont answer. I finally sent his daughter over there to tell him to call. He tried to act like nothing was wrong, but I know better. I really hope it's nothing major, like the last stupid dskfjhdslkfhbldfbliefh, but I don't know. Mike is a really good person, even thou he is backward and for his sake I hope things get good soon. We really need him close because of momma being sick and her only living sibling is in bad shape. Plus, I hate to whoop this one like I did the other one.LOL! Last but sure not least, my youngest brother, David (Dada). He's my honey. Momma said that I spoiled him so bad that he still stinks. LOL! He isn't as happy go lucky as I am, but he is a good man. He had said last year he was getting married this December, but we haven't heard any plans. He better be letting someone know. I don't know if this girl is the one for him or not and I hope she is in a way. The only sad thing about her is she wont be able to have a child with Dada. She has 2 wonder kids, but she started having problems the 1st of this year and had to have a hysterectomy. For Dada, it makes me sad, because the other girl he was engaged to aborted their baby, so he wont have one of his very on. Don't get me wrong, He loves her 2 kids and that says a lot, but I just wish he could have at least one. But if he don't I can live with it if he can.
Well, that's my brothers in a nut shell. I guess I wrote this post because this thing with Mike is bothering me. I don't stick my nose in their business and they don't stick theirs in mine, but we have always been there for one another and it just worries me when one of them are having a hard time.

The letter O

"O" Stands for Open. My heart and my life is an open book. OMGees! I guess I should of listen to my mother and closed the book! Ha~ No, I think I like me being an open book most of the time. Some of the down falls, but also the up side come in the same form. Let me explain: It is not easy for me to lie, everyone, well almost everyone can tell when I'm lying. When something happens, is said or whatever, I react then. You can see it on my face and most of all hear it come out of my mouth. I was not listening when momma said keep your mouth shut. Ha~
"O" Also stands for October. Our anniversary will be on the 25th. This year I'm not going to be passive. We have a few new restaurants and this man better take me out! He usually does, I'm just over due for a night out. Also, I guess since we have been married over 15 years, I better stick to it, I'm too old to brake another one in. LOL!

The letter N

"N" stands for number. I like the study of Biblical Numerology. It just fascinates me the symbolic meaning behind numbers.
Definition of terms:
Numerology- this word is derived from the Latin numerus, a number and logy, science study. This is employed in the general sense of study of numbers. It is to be distinguished from the term numerics, which according to most dictionaries, may refer to either the general study of numbers or the specific investigation of the mysteries of numbers.
Numeral- this term will generally be employed to designate the figure, letter or word expressing a number.
Number- This is an amount or quantity of units. In many cases it is employed to describe a character or symbol which expresses mathematical values.
"N" also stands for Nickelback. They seem to be a favorite band of mine. The main singer has a beautiful voice and their songs seem to relate so well to life and give very good veiws about a few things in life.

911

Today has been a okay day except for the memory of this day. I can remember to the minute what I was doing. I had just had surgery a few days before and laying on the couch. My hubby just off work and we were watching the 2 kittens we just got. We discovered what we were told to be girls were boys, then all the sudden all this racket came on the TV. We wasn't really watching at 1st, till it caught our attention. I kept asking Dan Dan is this real?!? 911, also is my little brother's birthday. I remember what a grey sad cloud that came over me that day. The phone rang at 9pm and asked what the Heck My Problem was. I was like, Dada, I'm so sorry! I just didn't know how to say Happy Birthday on a day like this, but I guess I should at least be thankful I can still say it to you. Every since then I call him the night before and wish him Happy Birthday.
Every year since the kids and I take out a moment of silence and tell about we have to be thankful for. (Another Day of Thanksgiving) We also talk about the Brave, the moms, dads, and all that died or lost someone on that day.

Try the ABC meme for school

As a lot of you may know I have been doing a ABC meme. This way you can learn a little more of me and me making memories. Today I told me kids that I wanted them to do a ABC meme. A letter a day with two words for 26 days. I thought this would be good exercise. They thought it would be great. So far so good, but we are only on the letter A. I thinks is great that they were excited about it and I didn't have to pull my hair out. If any of you are having problems getting your kids to write, try this, it may just work.
This is how I set it up... 2 words for each letter and you write what that word means to you.
Example: "A" stands for apple. An apple a day keeps the Dr. a way.
"A" also stand for airplane. I would like to ride in an airplane someday.
So, I hope this helps some of you that have reluctant writers like mine.
ENJOY!

The Letter M

"M" stands for memories. Memories can be anything you make them be. "We" most of the time rather dwell on nothing but our good memories. But here lately as my kids are getting older I find my self looking back on some of my bad memories. Not to dwell or anything like that. I have been looking back on my old bad memories to try to help my kids not to have some of the same bad memories as I have. Trying to teach them the life long lessons I have learned and why I do some of what I do, for they can have fewer bad memories than me.
"M" also stands for marriage. I have been married to Dan Dan for over 15 years. We have had our good time along with the bad. I would like to say we have had more good than bad. I also feel that we have gotten closer over the past years than we have in our past. We still have our occasional problems like most do, but I'm just glad we have gotten through our immature years. Just in the past year we have realized how different we really are and how that makes us strong in most ways.

Fun Monday!

Today’s Fun Monday is hosted by Dawn( http://coloursofdawn.wordpress.com/ ) and the assignment is this:

Have you ever had someone out of the goodness of their heart do something for you without anything asked in return? Offered you money when you needed it the most? Helped you change a flat tire in the pouring rain or even just simply held the door open for you when you had your hands full? For Monday, September 10th, we are challenged with doing a good deed. I am not looking for a story of when you have offered your help in the past, I actually want you in the next two weeks to go out and help someone. Go visit a nursing home, cook dinner for someone sick or with a new baby, donate to a charity or even send just a “thinking of you card” to someone who needs it. It doesn't matter what your good deed is, or how great it is. It just needs to help someone!

When I read this my mouth dropped. I had just talked to my kids about doing something like this Friday, then Sunday I took some food to my Pastor and his wife because she had surgery this past Tuesday. While I was there I ask her if any was suppose to take her place in Children's Church that night and she said no. So, I told I would. When I got home and looked over the lesson it was on "Compassion" and being kind to others. So, when I went to Dawn's blog and found this that made 3 times. I guess 3 times is a Charm.
Here are a few good deeds I have done in the last few weeks. No, I'm not patting myself on the back. To me it was not much and I like helping others. #1 August 22nd, I took the teens from church to visit a nursing home. It was a last minute thing and I didn't think it would turn out that well, but I was wrong. I don't who enjoyed it more, the residents or the kids and I. #2 The lady that is over Blue Belles ( a group sorta like Girl Scouts that my little girl is in) quite last Wednesday and I took over at the last minute. KB was suppose to write a letter to encourage someone. My brother went on an Emmaus walk and we wrote letters to him to give him encouragement. #3- Without being asked I went to my momma's (I know she is family but she has been really sick since March and unable to keep her house clean.) Saturday and did a super cleaning on her house. I did the walls, ceilings, floors and much more. #4- I took something to eat to my Pastor and family Sunday.
When I did these I wasn't looking for recognition and I'm not know. I just did these things because I like to help others and make a difference. I know I should do more more to help others out there and this being the 3rd time coming to me maybe just the boost I need.
Dawn, thank you for putting this on your blog. It was fun and most of all it is fun helping others.
So, I stand up and challenge I friends in the blogger world, have a fun Monday and help someone else out!

The Letter L

"L" stands for LaJune, that's my middle name. As I have gotten older it has grown on me. As a kid I didn't like that name. I wanted my middle name to be Elizabeth. I could spell Elizabeth before I could LaJune. (Imagine that) At age 7 I made up my mind that if I had a little girl I would name her Katie Elizabeth and I did.
"L" also stand for love. Here is the definition: n.
A deep, tender, ineffable feeling of affection and solicitude toward a person, such as that arising from kinship, recognition of attractive qualities, or a sense of underlying oneness.
A feeling of intense desire and attraction toward a person with whom one is disposed to make a pair; the emotion of sex and romance.
Sexual passion.
Sexual intercourse.
A love affair.
An intense emotional attachment, as for a pet or treasured object.
A person who is the object of deep or intense affection or attraction; beloved. Often used as a term of endearment.
An expression of one's affection: Send him my love.
A strong predilection or enthusiasm: a love of language.
The object of such an enthusiasm: The outdoors is her greatest love.
Love Mythology. Eros or Cupid.
often Love Christianity. Charity.
Sports. A zero score in tennis.

My definition: I think people use the word to loosely. I feel if you don't mean it don't say it. I teach my kids to say like instead of love for everything. Only say you love something if you really mean it.

why I need a new purse.......

Summer @ http://momisteaching.com/ is having a contest on her blog. She is giving a way this real pretty purse. Here’s how you play. Write a post in your own blog all about your purse. Do you love it? Hate it? Bought it second hand? Paid too much for it new? Is it cute and tiny and only has room for lipstick and your keys? Or is it huge and loaded down with everything under the sun? Whatever your purse is like tell me all about it. And don’t forget pictures! Then come back here and comment letting me know your purse post is up and where I can find it.
Okay, my purse. I haven't had a good purse in a long time. I always put my kids and husband before me. I usually get 2nd hand clothes from my mom and I buy me the Wal-Mart special on a purse. I carry all the important stuff in my purse like, bills, check book, insurance cards, the kids social security cards, my medicine and all different kind of papers. I have a bill fold with family pictures in it, pens and I have always got something of the kids or my husband in there also. So, as you can see having a purse is important to me to help me carry everything I need, no matter how ugly it may be I still carry it around. It would be nice to be able to win that new purse, so I would have something pretty to carry around and maybe something for myself in there for a chance.
Thank You!

The letter I

"I" stands for ink. I seem to use so much of.
"I" also stands for iguana. This stupid thing my son wanted so bad drives me batty. It is always getting out of it's cage and I find myself worrying myself to death because I have poison out for mice. Other than that I think it's kinda cute.

The letter H

"H" stands for Happy! I'm a over all happy person with a happy family. I don't understand why some people just dwell on being miserable and making others that way. The way I look at it is, You better enjoy life while you can, you only have one life.
"H" also stands for hearts! I have always loved hearts. I love to draw them, make heart shaped candles, and balloons. I have a tattoo of a heart with wings on my chest. I guess one reason you can say I like hearts is because they represent Love.

Our 1st day back at school

I was hoping to get my house complete from the remodeling, but I got really sick last week. We don't like much, but I had scheduled us to start school today. Even thou I haven't been able to get all the books I wanted, I still have the good ole web. Plus I already had an outline, so it makes it a little better. Only problem is that I'm out of ink and paper and don't see being able to buy some soon. I guess I'll just have to write almost everything out. Thanks to the web, I don't have to write too much. Plus to start it off, my niece called the morning crying, Aunt Kate I'm in trouble. I wanted so bad to say, what's new, but something told me this time was different. I did in fact tell her I was trying to school then I heard this awful sound. She was throwing up, so I had to go get my 2 nephews. We almost got everything done today and the wildness wasn't as bad as I 1st thought. I guess the boys have been with me so much of their life, that they know what to expect. The oldest is now 3, so he wanted ABC's and color. He don't want to count over 3 thou. LOL! Hopefully tomorrow will be a less hectic and more enjoyable. I was surprised, the kids were just as ready for school as I was.
Well, I better get off to bed, 4:30 am comes fast. (have to get hubby up and off to work, may lay back down and take short nap thou, not sure)
Geeeees! I'm rambling! I know I need to go to bed.
Until next time~

Best Friend Award

I have so many friends in this cyber world, but I have one person that I have seemed to connect better with than most.I feel that God has put us together for a purpose in our life at this time. I'm not sure if she feels the same, but I just want to take this time to thank her for being more than a friend.
Heather K. (http://minimemoirsofmine.blogspot.com/ ) I just want to say Thanks! Your friendship has meant so much to me and you have helped me in ways you probably will never know. I can tell you now that you have given me strength over these last few months. I have been down and you have lifted me up!
Thanks Girl! I really appreciate you!

The letter F

"F" stands for Faith. Everybody has faith, something they trust in. Whatever that may be to them. I have faith in God. Because I know I can trust him and he wont leave nor forsake me.
"F" also stands for family, which I hold so dear.
"F" also stands for Friend or Friendly. Both of these words describe me. I'm a very friendly person and I can be anyone's friend. It does take a while to really get to know me even if I am so friendly, but I guess that's my safe way of checking out If I can trust you or not.

recipe for the week

Stuffed Bell Peppers

Ingredients:
1 pk hamburger meat (4-5 lbs)
2 medium onions
2 cups of uncooked rice
2 cans diced tomatoes (14.5 oz)
6-7 large bell peppers

Prep:
1st pan- dice up onions, put hb meat in and scramble till meat is brown, then drain. Add 2 cans of tomatoes. (salt and pepper to taste)
2nd pan- add 2 cups of rice with 4 cups of water. 1/2 stick of butter and 3 dashes of salt. Bring to a boil, then turn on low, cook 20 more mins.
Mix- Add the Hb and rice mix together. (you may or may not need all of the rice)
Wash the bell peppers, cut the top off, then carefully take a knife and cut out the inside.
Cook: Place bell peppers in casserole dish (this will help them stand up) Stuff the bell peppers with the mix and cook about 30 - 45 minutes @ 350 degrees. (cover with aluminum foil and put a little water in bottom of pan for steam)
*****************************************
You will have extra stuffing left. With the remainder, you can stuff more peppers or do like I do. I put it a freezer zip lock back for later and use it for something else. (Usually soup)I also add the left over rice with the stuffing.

The letter E

"E" Stands for encouraging as for that is what I like to do. It comes from the heart and so natural too. I guess you could call me your encouraging cheer leader.
"E" also stands for Eagle. They can fly and sore so high. They are so strong and mighty. It is trully amasing how this bird can mean strength and courage. When I think of an eagle I think of this song. (I love eagles and I love this song, they both seem to help me up when I'm down.)
"I Believe I Can Fly"
I used to think that I could not go on
And life was nothing but an awful song
But now I know the meaning of true love
I'm leaning on the everlasting arms
If I can see it, then I can do it
If I just believe it, there's nothing to it
[1]
I believe I can fly
I believe I can touch the sky
I think about it every night and day
Spread my wings and fly away
I believe I can soar
I see me running through that open door
I believe I can fly
I believe I can fly
I believe I can fly
See I was on the verge of breaking down
Sometimes silence can seem so loud
There are miracles in life I must achieve
But first I know it starts inside of me, oh
If I can see it, then I can do it
If I just believe it, there's nothing to it
[Repeat 1]
Hey, cuz I believe in me, oh
If I can see it, then I can be it
If I just believe it, there's nothing to it
[Repeat 1]
Hey, if I just spread my wings
I can fly
I can fly
I can fly, hey
If I just spread my wings
I can fly
Fly-eye-eye

The letter D

"D" stands for Dixie! I'm Southern born and Southern raised. I live in the "HEART" of the South! The land of Dixie is also known as the land of cotton.
"D" also stands for daisies. Daisies seem to one of my favorite flowers. I know they are simple, but that seems to describe me; sweet and simple. :)

The letter C

(edited for personal reasons)***************************
"C" is also for cooking in which I love to do. But for some reason I have lost that desire here in the last year. For cooking to be such a passion of mine it really bothers me to have lost my desire. I really have to make my self cook and seem to flop a lot. Even on the simple stuff. I have always had an imagination when it comes to cooking. It's sorta like writer's block. Ya'll are the 1st to know, even thou I know my family notices and suffers so. I guess I was hoping that my dear cyber friends could help me in my little cramp and get me out of "The cook's block" or whatever you may call it.

"C" is for CHOCOLATE as most of you would know. I love chocolate in almost every form, shape or size. I would rather have dark chocolate. I just love dark chocolate Cordova coffee drinks! They are the bomb!
"C" is also for Christ who lives with in me. No, I'm not perfect by any means, but live my life one day at a time. Here lately life has been hard and my faith grown weak, but Christ reminds me of all the friends I have in the cyber world that help me come out strong. No matter of their back ground, where they come from or what they believe, they are always there for me: all day long.
