My little world....

Is fixing to change more than it has for about 3 weeks. They couldn't get it set up for momma to be put in the Pontotoc Hospital for 3 weeks. The nearest place was Eupora, MS, which is about an hour or more away. They could only set her up for a week, so we are bringing her home today and doing Home Health Care for 3 weeks. Momma will be unable to stay by her self in these 3 weeks. So, the kids and I will have to get up and go there at 6:30 AM till someone can get there. More than likely about 5:30 or 6 in the afternoon. It will work out fine this way if the others jump in and help, but if they do like they have the past 2 1/2 weeks, well! All I can say is this next 3 weeks will prove how strong my marriage is.
Turns out that momma had Pneumonia and Hypoxia on top of the flu. She will coming home on oxygen this time also.
Boy! I have been able to online more than I thought in these few past weeks, but I'm wondering what these next 3 will bring. I know yall will be alright, but I love my "me" time. Which is mostly my computer! I guess we will just have to what and see. If I'm unable to do my computer time maybe I wont Jones too bad. LOL!
Take care and have a wonderful week end!

Ditto what Ami said. Get some good sleep when you are home.

I agree, I hope you get some help.

At least you can rest easy with yourself, whenever you get some rest.

Hugs.

What an incredible daughter you are for taking all this on. I really do hope the rest of the family will do the right thing and help out. You and your mom will be in my thoughts Katie. Here's hoping the next 3 weeks fly by because you'll be missed!

I really do hope the rest of the family steps up to the plate and does their share.

If you have any questions or anything - holler at me. I'm happy to help in any way I can.

Hang in there, sweetie. Your mom is so lucky to have you.

So last night we were awakened in the middle of the night by the cat loudly upchucking on the bed. And after we got it cleaned up (I balled up the blanket and threw it in the hall to deal with in the morning) I laid there in bed trying to get back to sleep ... except MrV kept twitching his foot back and forth "scritch scritch scratch" (that last when his toenails caught the sheets). I was going absolutely nuts with this, and fantasizing about smacking his legs with, I don't know, a yard stick or maybe a baseball bat. But that seemed like a sort of unproductive thing to do, you know, lying there plotting bodily injury to my dear husband. So I what could take my mind off of that really really annoying twitching?

OH! PRAY FOR KITTEN AND HER FAMILY!

Totally took my mind off of the twitches. Your trials may have saved our marriage!

I hope this doesn't sound too jokey about the situation you're in, but I thought you might get a laugh out of it. "All things work together for good."

So sorry things are so rough there. I hope the family steps up. Gailv had a cute story. We will miss you if you aren't around, but make sure you take care of yourself. This time will pass and you will be back with us, (if you take care of yourself so you don't end up in a rubber room).

Fingers crossed all goes well for you over the next three weeks and your mum rapidly improves. {hugs}

You are a true blessing to your mother. Keep up the great work. Three weeks is not much time at all. Keep smiling.

Thinking of you.

I will be thinking of you, Kitten. You are the kindest person I know of, and your personal sacrifices don't go unnoticed. A few weeks of a ridiculous schedule will pay off in what it means to your mother (and your children are getting a good life lesson too).

The internet (and all of us) will still be here when you have time to find us. Hang in there.

Please take care of yourself, as you are taking care of your loved ones.

You are in that generation that has to care for parents
AND children.

I pray that you find rest, AND assistance.

I know you are strong and will get through this. But know we are here when you need us.

Ditto what everyone said. You are a blessing to your mother. I hope your people will help out, but I know you will handle things if they don't. Your kids are learning from you how to take care of their elders, and that can give you some comfort.

I've been where you are because I cared for my mother after she had a stroke, then my grandmother who had dementia. Remember to take care of yourself.

I hope things go well. You and your family are in my thoughts and prayers still. :)

Hang in there.
