Just another day in my life

Yesterday my little brother gave me a break from the hospital. I really needed to clean, but instead I slept almost all day. This morning I woke up at 3 AM and started cleaning. The only sad part is I need to stop in the middle of it and get ready and go to the hospital. My kids have been good about washing dishes, washing clothes (not always folding and putting away), keeping things picked up, cleaning bathrooms and sweeping the floor. But this house really needs cleaning! Things are cluttered and other things that the kids don't do or think of needs done. Maybe when we get momma to Pontotoc Hospital, in the swing bed, I can spend more time at home. I'm not really sure yet, so we will just have to see. The good thing is that it is only 3 mins away, not 45 mins.
I'm not complaining, but I do wish my nieces and brothers would help me a little more. I have so much to do. All I can say is that when my momma does pass away (Lord!, I hope not soon!) I will not have any regret.
Well, I guess I need to get at a stopping point and get to the hospital.
Hope You Have a Wonderful & Blessed Day!

Just wanted to stop by and give you a little cyber-hug, and let you know I'm praying for you.

If I lived closer I'd help you clean your house. Not that mine is clean, but I *do* know how to do it.

I don't think you're going to have regrets, you've done wonderfully.

{{{hugs}}}

I know what you mean, sometimes it's hard not to be resentful at the lack of support from family. My brother thinks that because my mother lives here he doesn't need to do anything but ring or visit once in a while and bring mum the odd meal or cake! You have been brilliant, and although house work needs to be done, it's not worth running yourself into the ground for it :)

We're sending you lots of positive thoughts and wishes.

Hang in there. I know you're just flat overwhelmed right now.

Hugs.

You hang in there. You are doing a wonderful thing for your Mom and your children are learning from what you do. XO ~R

I'm glad your kids are doing what they know how, even if it isn't your usual.

Hang in there and know you're in my thoughts.

I am glad you spent the time sleeping, you needed it. The cleaning can wait and you won't regret that you didn't spend more time doing that. I do understand your feeling about getting stuff done around the house. It is hard to relax at home when it is a disaster and it feels like it will snowball into a bigger disaster.

I totally agree with Dawn. Cleaning can wait, sleep cannot. You're doing a great job holding everything together.

Do your best... but don't hurt yourself.

I pray you give yourself some grace... and that includes no regrets.
