Part 4 of momma & my Holiday.

This is my final entry on my Holiday. Well, at least of of our family get togethers. Christmas Day we went to Maws and it was as Pleasant, Enjoyable & Peaceful as the rest. The lady from Hell and my niece (that drives me nuts) sit down in the other room where the kids usually eat and then went to my BIL's house and stayed there all day. I was really shocked. Dan's mom must have really got them! I laid in the floor and enjoyed every one's company while KB & DJ enjoyed their cousins.
(Here's a few pictures of Maw's)

(Maw got her a home made bird house made like a church. Boy, I thought that was neat!)

My momma is doing okay. She got her Border Collie yesterday and KB went to stay the night with momma to help potty train. Hopefully this puppy will do what it was bought to do, keep momma from getting lonely. Maybe with her having him there I wont have to go so much and be able to do things I need to do. Don't get me wrong, I do love my momma and if her health got bad enough I would stay more. But, at the moment it's more less she gets so lonely.
Here's Topper!

I see you had a nice Christmas too ! I wonder if the puppy is not a little too bouncy for an old lady ? Dogs are not that easy like a cat !

I agree with Gattina. I am sure your kids would love a new puppy and you could find an older quiet dog from a shelter much like the one that showed up at my mom's place. I would hate for the puppy to be a lot of work for your mom, as they tend to be when training and then you have to give it away because of the trouble that was just natural puppy stuff. An older attention seeking cat might do the trick as well. They aren't much work except filling their dishes and changing litter which can be done once a week with scooping in between. I hope it all works out well and I am so glad things went well at Maw's house.

Glad your Mommas feeling good. My Mom calls her mother every day! My Mom lives in VA and Gma lives in NC but my Mom swears everytime she doesn't call, Gma ends up in the hospital.

She does have my aunt to take care of her shopping and such and she lives in a elderly apartment community and her neighbors check in everyday as well.

Wow, yes, especially a border collie. I was sort of thinking an old border collie. Those dogs are bundles and bundles of energy. And just having a year old dog, who needed lots of training just about did me in this year. She's jsut now calming down and sufficiently trained at 2, or maybe I am LOL.

Either way, I am so glad you had a nice time. I just hope the puppy doesn't end up being another job for you.

I told NLM that if he wants another dog, it'll come from Humane Society, we'll send it through DOC dog training (inmates train the dogs) and have it housebroke, trained and ready for love. No more puppies. They are hard the first year, but after that they are good companions. And Border Collies are wonderful dogs, obedient, and faithful. It's just hard getting through that first year. Very nice family Christmas and may you and yours be blessed in the New Year!
