Fun Monday: Winner of the oldest House!

This Fun Monday turned out to be very interesting! I enjoyed it all! Not only were there a lot more older homes than I first thought, but a lot of heart touching stories. It's not just the place we live in that makes it our home, but the people in it.Okay, for the winner. I'm going to name the top 5 people that had the oldest home and the dates. If I have any info wrong please let me know, but it looks like our lovely Chris B has won!
1. Chris B 1851
2. The Lurchers 1871
3. Rotten Correspondent 1887
4. Sara 1892
We have a tie for 5th
5. Tiggerlane 1903
5. Kila
(Sorry I left Kila out at 1st. Complete over sight on my part. Thanks Tiggerlane for the friendly reminder.)
I want to thank everyone for such a great Fun Monday!
Merry Christmas & May God Bless You in all You do!

Yay way to go Chris!

Thank you Kitten for a fascinating Fun Monday! There have been some fascinating offerings. I've been reading everyone's Fun Mondays for weeks but this was the first time I've been brave enough to stick up my hand and say "can I join in please!"

Being a bit new to this, can I ask how the host is chosen?

I thought she had the oldest! Awesome. Congratulations Chris!

(as I read through - it sounded like a lot of people had homes built in the 70's)

I was out of town so had to miss your Fun Monday but thought I would say hi and tell you your assignment for FM was great! Even though I couldn't participate, I've really been enjoying the posts.

Woohoo, I'm a Fun Monday winner! Now that's something to put on my blogging resume ;) Thank you. It was fun to read about everyone's homes. Good idea. Tiggerlane's home has more of its old, original features, so she can be #5 and I'll be #6 :)

Good idea for fun Monday and thanks for hosting. Congratulations to the winners. It was interesting to see that people are living in such old homes. Our province is too new to have such old homes people are living in. There are some that are in the fort on 1885 St, but I am not sure there are homes as old as Chris B's that people actually live in. When the settlers first came here they did not have the means to put up solid homes to last the way they did in other areas of the country. Our Province didn't become a province until 1905.

What a neat touch to this month's theme. I'd love to see these old homes in person!

Thanks again for hosting a memorable and fun Fun Monday :).
