Road Rage, NOT!

They are always doing a story about Road Rage and what causes it. IMO they need to do a Grocery Store Rage story! OMGees! The last few times I have went and bought groceries for momma or me it has Heck! I mean H. E. Double Hockey Sticks! I went to the grocery store for momma today and every time I turned around some one would almost run over me, rush by me then stop, put the buggy on one side of the isle and then stoop over on the other side and other crazy crap like that. These people are just plain out RUDE! I was standing there trying to stay out of the way looking for something on momma's list and this lady walked and slightly pushed me with her shoulder and said, "DO YOU MIND" How Rude!, I say! I understand people being upset because prises going up on everything, but I have never seen people act like this before in a grocery store. And it's not just one, but several. It has been this way the last few times I have gone to the store.
Yesterday when KB & I were doing our shopping some of the same stuff happened. KB was doing her little dancing as we were walking down the isle and this lady looked KB up and down and gave her a dirty look. I had to turn my buggy around and go the other way. I could see this lady getting up set if KB was bothering someone or getting in people's way, but she wasn't. She was just dancing/wiggling in place right beside me.
I have no idea why people have to be so mean & ugly over going to the store. Gosh if it upsets them that bad, send someone in their place!

I know what you mean. I usually find little old men or women that can't find something and I really like helping them even if it means searching aisles for them. I am able to go to the store alone though without any kids. These people are nice though.

I get in such a fog whn I am grocery shopping, people could be trying to be mean and I wouldn't even know. Bring 'em on :-).

We try to go when it is really slow. I take all 3 kids with me and they dance, wiggle, walk ahead of me. It makes me crazy, but nobody is around to say anything usually. The one thing that my son does that will push me over the edge is when he orbits the cart and me while I am pushing it. It would push me over the edge, but if somebody else said something about it, I'd go off. He is my baby and I'm the only one that gets to snap at him.

It is rude when someone runs into you and accuses you. I am not sure what to say may be the cause. Sometimes they say heat will do it, but I don't think it is too hot where you are, right now. I have not found such a problem here, and even during Christmas rush the people were friendly and patient. I hope the situation in your area improves. If not, you could go early in the morning when people are fresh (but not too early-wait until the grumpy people heading off to work are gone), or go late in the evening when it is people who are getting off night shift and people there who are avoiding the grumpy people.

Hmmm? "Do You Mind."

You should have said, 'no, and I bite, too." (woof woof)

Okay, I'll admit that sometimes I have grocery fantasies about ramming my cart into people. On days when I feel like that I make an extra effort to say "excuse me" and be polite and kind and pretty much act the OPPOSITE of how I feel.

I never felt this way (grocery rage) before we moved to St. Louis. It's weird. It's like their piping something into the stores that makes me crazy some days.

Or do their food shopping on line. They will deliver now, or so I have heard. We tend to shop more in Japanese stores. The people are nice, the food is interesting (my kids love Japanese food stores).
