Instant Spice Tea
Here while back I had the honor to be the hostess for Fun Monday. I had said that whoever had the oldest home I would send them a little treat. Chris B was our winner. I sent her a jar of instant spice tea. She said she didn't really like tea, but liked this even thou it was a little sweet.(I don't like tea either, but I do like this also.) Her mom loved it so much she wanted more. So, Here is the recipe..... ( You can change the recipe to suit your taste if you like.)
1/2 cup instant unsweetened lemon tea
1/2 cup tang
2 packs lemonade mix pre-sweetened
2 cups sugar
1 teaspoon cloves
1 teaspoon cinn.
Mix well. Store in jar - lid tightly closed.
2 -3 tsp per cup of hot water or to taste.

I like tea so I will try it. It does sound sweet with that tang in it. Hey, breakfast of champions!
Thank you for this recipe. My mum and I have a cup everyday and we are about half way through the jar so I will have a go at making it.
Yikes! I'm in sugar shock just reading the recipe. Ahh, I miss sugar shock. After this baby is born, I'm going to eat a tub of frosting just to make up for all the sugar I'm missing out on.
I'm a huge tea drinker and even though this sounds pretty darn sweet for my taste, I'm going to give it a try anyway because the ingredients sound like they would go lovely together. Thanks for sharing!
I don't mind tea, but I did make this a number of years ago with my candy making parties. I don't like cloves, blahh...so, I hated it. I think I would like it without the cloves and cinnamon. At that time, I found regular instant tea and we added the other stuff. I think you could use unsweetened koolaid powder instead of the lemonade pre-sweetened mix. That would be less sugar. Still, it all smelled delightful until the cloves came out.
I love tea but not the sweet stuff, i should try making my own one of these days
I love this tea!!!
