I have been tagged for a Meme by Robocop. Here are the rules:
(1) Link to the person that tagged you. (2) Post the rules on your blog. (3) Share six non-important things/habits/quirks about yourself. (4) Tag six random people at the end of your post by linking to their blogs. (5) Let each random person know that they have been tagged by leaving a comment on their site.
Things about me, myself and I:
1- I drink a 2liter of Dt Mt Dew a day. I even take a glass to bed. (Ever see someone with out their coffee, well, that's me with out my Dew!)
2- I'm a complete neat freak or I should say I use to be. (Boy! Did I ever marry the opposite of me) I still am to an degree, but it is hard fighting against 4 that are not.
3- I love to cook! I'm the kind of person when I cook I remember the recipe by heart after the 1st time, then cook by memory after. Most time I cook by using my senses. (Look, taste, smell and touch/ texture.) I make up a lot of my recipes.
4- If I'm busy or just don't answer you when you ask the 1st time, asking the second is okay, I'll let you know that you need me, but if I let you know, but don't really respond, Wait or come back. Please don't keep pushing me. I will snap.
5- Even thou I'm really friendly, I do not like being smothered. Please don't invade my space. My husband and kids know when I'm cuddly and they know when I don't like to be touchous. If I ask you to back up, please do and don't get up all in my cheerios.
6- I love to research. Example: My brother Sam gave his Wednesday night class an assignment. We had to find a word in the bible. Some brought in a few lines or a sheet, but I brought in 26 pages of the word, but showed the word it self had never been used, only a like words. Another Example: One night while at church a preacher said that 163 meant ladder. That arouse my curiosity. I have been looking up what numbers mean. A lady from Washington came to visit our church about the same time. She told me she knew of a book. She never sent it to me. I have been looking for 10 years. I have found some, but know there is more.
Now I tag! hehehehehehe!

I got this e mail and my views on it.
Mississippi - Calls Needed to Stop Testing Bill
Dear HSLDA Members and Friends:
We need your help now! Mississippi homeschoolers are facing the most
serious threat to their freedom since the homeschool law was enacted
25 years ago.
Senate Bill 2271 would authorize the Mississippi State Board of
Education to "establish student testing proficiency standards for
promotion to grade levels for students in home instruction programs
which are equivalent to requirements applicable to public school
students." Your calls to state senators are needed to stop this
dangerous legislation!
If Senate Bill 2271 passes, it would essentially mean the end of
homeschooling in Mississippi. Parents deciding to teach their children
at home would have to conform their curriculum to the material taught
in public school in order for their children to be able to pass the
state tests. The Mississippi Department of Education, not parents,
would determine the grade level at which a student was taught in a
home instruction program.
Sponsored by Senator Sampson Jackson, II (32nd Senate District), this
horrendous bill is now in the Senate Education Committee. Senator
Jackson and members of the Senate Education Committee need to hear
from you today!
Action Requested:
(1) Please call or write (both would be better) Senator Sampson
Jackson and at least one member of the Senate Education Committee with
this message:
"Please oppose Senate Bill 2271, which would impose public school
testing on homeschool students. This bill would effectively destroy
homeschooling in Mississippi by requiring parents to adopt the public
school curriculum for their home instruction programs."
I really hope this bill ( 2271) does not go in effect. Maybe for different reasons than most. My kids did go to public school at 1st then pulled out, but not because of religious views or that I thought I could do a better job. I got tired of fighting the system and trying to get help for my kids. They kept writing my kids needs to behavior problems, when in reality they have learning problems. Josh & Katie- Beth has serve dyslexia, dysgraphia, audio processing disorder and ADHD. Aron's dyslexia & ADD is not near as serve as JB & KB, but still was being picked on because he took so long to get his work done.
With all that said, I know that the youngest two would not do as well on the testing part because we mostly work on the weaknesses at hand. I do try to keep them at the level they are suppose to be, but because of their learning problems, they are not where they need to be. According to the test I have done every year, My oldest would do just fine.
However, since I have had my children home, we have to come to enjoying home schooling. I do not feel that someone has the right of taking that away from me or them. My kids are a lot happier and don't feel bad about not being able to stay up with the other kids.
Thank You,
Katie McGloflin
UP DATE: After sending several emails I finally got this back this morning.
Thank you for your email. I have met with Education Chairman Videt Carmichael, and he feels the same as I do regarding S.B. 2271. This is a very inappropriate bill and will not come out of the Education Committee. This bill is dead. Thank you for sharing your concerns with me.
Sincerely,
Tom King

Fun Monday: What's by your beside.
Angela is our host this week. Here is her instructions... So continuing in the spirit of "being interested in people", I would like to know, or see, what's on, in or under your bedside table! So open those draws and bare your soul to us! Is there anything special there that has a story or a memory that you can tell us about? Books that you keep there to delve into from time to time? Trinkets that you don't know where else to put? Let's see!
My 1st thought was OMGEES! She really wants to see what's on our beside table? Should I take a few off? Omgees! Nope! I left it all there, so here you go!!!!
These 1st 2 pictures are of 2 different views of my table. I have my C-Pap machine with a glass of water to fill it with. I also have my drink, cell phone, cigs, ash-tray, baby powder, lamp, a candle, a belt buckle, peppermint, tolite paper and I'm not telling what that last little bottle is. You are just going to have to use your imagination. Ha! Ha!
These next 2 pictures are the books I'm reading and studying.
Well!, There you go! That is what is on my bed side table. Oh, I guess you noticed that I don't have a alarm clock on my table. I had to put it on Dan's side of the bed. I was waking up every 45 mins to 1 hour looking at the time. I still feel sometime that I just lay there, but atleast I'm not looking at the time all the time!
Hope you all have a wonderful Fun Monday!

Bible verse for today
1 Peter 3:18 For Christ also hath once suffered for sins, the just for the unjust, that he might bring us to God, being put to death in the flesh, but quickened by the Spirit:
The is so hard to sallow, but so true.
Lord, Help me Thankful for the little
things and remember all things happen
for a purpose.

Instant Spice Tea
Here while back I had the honor to be the hostess for Fun Monday. I had said that whoever had the oldest home I would send them a little treat. Chris B was our winner. I sent her a jar of instant spice tea. She said she didn't really like tea, but liked this even thou it was a little sweet.(I don't like tea either, but I do like this also.) Her mom loved it so much she wanted more. So, Here is the recipe..... ( You can change the recipe to suit your taste if you like.)
1/2 cup instant unsweetened lemon tea
1/2 cup tang
2 packs lemonade mix pre-sweetened
2 cups sugar
1 teaspoon cloves
1 teaspoon cinn.
Mix well. Store in jar - lid tightly closed.
2 -3 tsp per cup of hot water or to taste.

An Add on to the post below
I sure didn't mean to leave this out. Aron has wanted to be a scientist that works in a lab to help with criminal cases since he was 6. Yes, a CSI. This year he has changed his mind. At first it really bothered me, because he has lived, eat and breathed this dream. I guess I have also. He has decided to take his Bachelors in Music. He took a career test yesterday and it showed that teaching was the highest, then music. I told him he could be a music teacher if he wanted. The more I think about it I realized that I rather he does something that is fulfilling than money. Also, I wonder if I should go ahead and let him graduate with the home school group he is in and go ahead and take regular classes at a junior college. (ICC) He will be 16 just a year before he would in regular school. If not, he still could go and take 2 classes. I think I'm just going to let him graduate and take 4 classes his 1st year. Aron has always been my child that gets upset over a B. This year he took Geometry and I decided to let him look back over Algebra 1 for we would be ready to do Algebra 2 next year. He had problems with graping and sloping, that's when he decided not to go to school to be a forensic scientist. Aron has always been so smart and I guess I have always had high expectations for him and maybe pushed him a little. I don't want to do that. I don't want to be the controlling person. I want him to be happy at what makes him happy. I guess time will tell and I'll support any of his decisions. I know it will be good because he has a pretty level head for a 14 year old and always has.
A lot on the mind and not a lot to say.
Yep, that's me. My mind is in so many directions and I have not had much to blog about. Don't make much since uh? Here's a list of few things on my little mind.
#1. We are going to look at a truck for Dan Dan today. I really hope it works out. We have been with one vehicle since November. Which hasn't been that hard on us, but in some ways it has. I can't just jump and go if and when I want. I can't go check on momma if I want. Don't get me wrong on this statement: Not being able to jump up every time momma wants me to has been good for her, in a way. I do love my mom and don't mind doing for her, but she has gotten so dependant on me. If she really needs me she comes and gets us and I help her, but demands are not quite as much as at 1st. Plus, this puppy has helped her not be so lonely.
#2. My middle child JB. He wants to go back to school next year to play football. Which I have decided to allow. I don't 100% like the whole idea, but I don't want him holding this over my head and rebelling. He is very high strong. The worry is that he is my child that has the hardest time learning. I have to put more into him than the other 2. I have been trying so hard to make sure he is where he needs to be for 7th grade, but he isn't grasping things as well as he needs to. That's why I want him to stay home, not the only reason, but part. Let me give an example: Let's say I think he has grasp something in Math or English, I give him a test, and he acts like I haven't even showed him. UGH! So, I go over the test and then at the end of the week we re-do the test and most of the time, the same ole thing. I'm thinking that I should just go ahead and move forward with his work instead of harping on the same thing over and over. Maybe it will click as time goes by. But part of me wants to make sure he does grasp it.
#3. Money issues! I know everybody has them. 2007 for us was pretty stressful. As far as I can see for 2008, things look a lot better and I really hope so! #3 sorta ties in with #4. So......
#4. Marriage strain. Such a ugly word! In 2007 Dan Dan had a lot of health problems and we had money problems because he was unable to work. I know that this has put some strain on us and I'm hoping that's all it is. Dan Dan and I had a rocky few years, but things had seemed to turn around. We were getting along better than ever. Like best friends! (Like it should be) But the last 6 months or so we seem to have drifted away. Matter fact the last month he gets on my last nerve! Maybe some of it is hormonal, but part of it I think is because we have drifted some and my anxieties of the past are bothering me. I really hope our Past is all in the past and this too shall pass.
I have a few other minor things stirring up there, but these are things that are weighing on my mind the most. I know time will bring these things to pass and everything happens for a reason. I just needed to get a load off my mind.

Recipe for the week
I don't have a name for this. A lot of times I make up things and just call it stuff or something like that. LOL!
Put a beef roast in oven and cook all day till very tender. (We use deer) Take it out and pull it apart. leave just a little water. Add a big jar or 2 of salsa and 2 cups of shredded cheese. Mix really good then wrap in flour tortilla shells. place on a flat cookie sheet. Cook about 20 -30 minutes. There you go! They are really good!
You can add other stuff to your taste. That's what I do anyways!

My Silly kids
My kids are so silly and never get too bored. I promise they can find a stick and come up with the best games. Last night I was playing Chickionary on the computer and heard the loudest racket. I told Daniel to go see what was going on. When he hollered for the kids to get out the garbage cans I busted out laughing. They came running in and said that they had washed them really good and they were racing. Gosh! It must be nice being a kid. LOL!
Here is one of the cans:

Thank You, Ami!
Ami gave this to me today. Actually she made it for me. Ain't that just the sweetest!
Thank you, Ami! I really needed that!
I guess I'm a hermit
This week seems a little odd because we are not having church. Before I could get to church on Sunday I got a call that our services for this week were canceled because of a gas leak and possible carbon oxide poison. I know it's not going to hurt me missing a few services or I could go some where else to visit, but I just rather not go any where else. I know of a few good churches to go to, but just really don't want to go. On the other hand it feels weird not going. Normally I would go visit some where else, but this week is different. Here lately it seems the only places I go is to church and momma's. Well, beside going shopping for momma and our family. I don't know if it because I have not had a way to go except when Dan is home because his truck is tore up for 2-3 months or I use momma's car or if I'm just a hermit by nature. LOL! Maybe it's the cold rainy weather. Well, I know it will pass and it really wont hurt me staying in. I just thought it was funny when my hubby called me hermit. I have never been one, but the older I get it seems to be more my nature. There is NO place like home!

Howdy!
I haven't been online much this week. I have been so busy with helping momma and the kids have been giving me pains with schooling. Momma is better, but still not able to clean house, buy her groceries and a few other things. So, with home schooling 3 kids that don't want to mind and keeping up 2 house holds I haven't had much time to be online. Maybe my kids will settle down and give me a little peace time for my self. I will try and come and visit. Maybe things will be a little more settled this week. I hope so, because if not my kids are going to find their self hung to the ceiling. Well, not really, but you know what I mean.
Hope all is having a great week!

Fun Learnig Games
Thanks to Hootin' Anni the kids and I have enjoyed hangaroo. Boy! Was she ever right about it being addicting. Since then we have found Chicktionary. The kids and I have sit around the computer the last 2 days playing these 2 games. This sure has put a new meaning to sharing the computer. LOL! So, if your bored or just want to challenge your wits, I strongly suggest these 2 games.
Enjoy!
Enjoy!

Fun Monday: Your favorite web site
This week our host for Fun Monday is -Ann and here is her assignment...I want to hear about a web site and not just about any old web site. I want to hear about a web site that's changed your life. A web site that you can't live without. A web site whose inventor you'd like to see win a McArthur Genius Grant.
Maybe you want to sing the praises of a dating web site for helping you meet your spouse. Maybe the only thing getting you through the dark days of winter is an Internet comic. No story is too big, no story is too small -
I couldn't think of nothing at first and almost didn't sign up, but then after thinking a while I finally came up with a post.
My brother Mike is completely different than me, but we have always had a special connection. A couple years ago he came over on Mother's day because he knew I was going through a hard time. (He's not much on words)(He don't even go to church) (You'll see my point in a minute) Okay!, he came over and handed me this little slip of paper and told me to go to this site. He knew I had problems falling a sleep while reading because of my Narcolepsy and had other issues with reading that we didn't know what they were till 3 years ago. We found out that I had Dyslexia. So, I had 2 negatives against me even thou I love to learn and I Love to dig to find answers when given the challenge. On the sheet of paper was a web site to Audio Bible I was now able to read my bible and start retaining what I read. It also taught me how to get around reading. I can go to sites and read on the web and that helps, but what helps the most is hearing and reading at the same time. So, thanks to my brother I can enjoy reading now. I also use this method with my 3 kids. At least they are getting it young and can enjoy reading and learning.
Even thou I do have other places I like to go on the web, this is the site that 1st helped me figure it all out.

Locked in a box.
What do you do when you feel you are locked in a box? Surrounded on all sides. The most logic answer would be reach up, but what if the top feels so far away? You feel trapped and no solutions of what to do. What do you do? You try and talk to people and no one listens. You just have no clue. What do you when you feel you are locked in a box?

Road Rage, NOT!
They are always doing a story about Road Rage and what causes it. IMO they need to do a Grocery Store Rage story! OMGees! The last few times I have went and bought groceries for momma or me it has Heck! I mean H. E. Double Hockey Sticks! I went to the grocery store for momma today and every time I turned around some one would almost run over me, rush by me then stop, put the buggy on one side of the isle and then stoop over on the other side and other crazy crap like that. These people are just plain out RUDE! I was standing there trying to stay out of the way looking for something on momma's list and this lady walked and slightly pushed me with her shoulder and said, "DO YOU MIND" How Rude!, I say! I understand people being upset because prises going up on everything, but I have never seen people act like this before in a grocery store. And it's not just one, but several. It has been this way the last few times I have gone to the store.
Yesterday when KB & I were doing our shopping some of the same stuff happened. KB was doing her little dancing as we were walking down the isle and this lady looked KB up and down and gave her a dirty look. I had to turn my buggy around and go the other way. I could see this lady getting up set if KB was bothering someone or getting in people's way, but she wasn't. She was just dancing/wiggling in place right beside me.
I have no idea why people have to be so mean & ugly over going to the store. Gosh if it upsets them that bad, send someone in their place!

Update on storms yesterday
I got that picture off the web. LOL! I didn't take pictures because there was nothing exciting to see.
Yesterday was a crazy day
Even thou everything started out normal, it didn't stay that way. The kids have not wanted to wake up this week, so yesterday instead of fighting with them, I went back to bed till they got up. We got up about 11 and started our day off like normal. My husband called at lunch and asked what the weather was doing and I told him it was just cloudy here. Not even 5 minutes after we got off the phone and the kids and I started back to schooling, the city wide alarms went off. I ran and opened the front door and turned on the news. To me it was dark and the clouds were moving funny, but no rain. When I turned on the TV, they said that a tornado was in Thaxton (a small community in the country part of Pontotoc) and was heading straight to the City of Pontotoc. (That's were we are) I told the kids to get their blankets and pillows and head to the hallway. I stood in the front door watching outside and stepping back to watch the weather on TV. After 20 minutes passed I realized that the tornado turned and went to New Albany. (That's a county next to us) It still wasn't even raining. I had the kids to come back to the table, but leave their stuff in the hallway because there were still more tornadoes all around us. About 30 minutes after the kids and I got back started with school the city wide alarms went back off. I jumped up to the TV and seen that the tornado that had went toward New Albany had went to another part of Pontotoc on its way out. After all that, it started raining. Even thou here were I live it never got that bad, I can't say that for other parts of MS. Here is a few stories. (Caledonia) Even thou the News coverage here not complete, this town was hit the hardest. This town was tore up! School buses went into the school and many many homes destroyed.( Clay County ) They had a few homes destroyed and 2 hurt, but not severe.( North of Iuka,) This story is correct so far. Veron Alabama was hit yesterday also. I know my sister in law is okay, but not sure of the damage done there. (That brother is a truck driver and is the one I had to go to NC because he had a heart attack while he was on the road. He's doing good and back to work.) Even thou to me it looked worse to me Tuesday, yesterday storms out done Tuesday's storms.

Yesterday's storms
This is the 1st picture when the front came in.
This is the second.
This is the 3rd.
My silly self walk out in the storm to get a picture of my mailbox, because in the above pictures it was so dark you couldn't see it.
I should have took a picture after, but didn't think about it. I was so amazed over how dark it got then turned back light and that wasn't even the front that was suppose to hit us. The News said there were so many funnel clouds, but they were to big and wide spread to cause a tornado. It is 35 degrees this morning after being 70 yesterday and we have another storm coming in tomorrow. I wonder how big that one will be.

Update on burned body in Pontotoc
Our local News Story.
This is just awful! and just beyond my comprehension. They say the family dropped him off and came back later to pick him up and couldn't find him. They also say he walked into the woods and fell a sleep smoking and burned his self to death. The whole story don't make any since to me, but I guess somethings are not to be understood.
My heart really goes out to this family!

Fun Monday- Show me your pets!
Lisa is our hostess for Fun Monday this week and she wants us to show our pets.
Daniel and I have had a lot of pets over the years. As I was always a cat lover and he was a dog lover, we have learned to compromise. The animals we have at this time is 4 dogs, a cat, a bird and a lot of fish.
Our Dogs:
5-6 years ago (I have no since of time, so I get confused on dates, that why I can't really remember exactly how long we have had Sammie)a friend of ours gave us Sammie, because their land lord would not allow them to have a dog. Dan Dan have a soft spot for animals so we gladly brought her in. At 1st she was an inside dog, which she was for a long time. Every now and then we would put her on a chain right out side the door step to get fresh air, because here in town we have a leash law. We never intended to allow her to have babies, but never got her fixed, soooooo. 3 years ago we had her out on the chain and I kept telling Dan she was going in heat and he told me I didn't know what I was talking about, so during us home schooling one day, the kids and I got a 101 on how dogs hook up. The neighbor's dog had got loose. Sammie had 13 babies that December. (I remember that time because it was our 1st year of home schooling. LOL) We were going to get rid of all the puppies, but the cat we had at that time got hit by a car, so I allowed each child to have a puppy. Don't ask me why 3 puppies have to replace 1 cat, but that's how it worked out. DJ named his KoJo, JB named his Buddy and KB named hers Vicious Rex. They all 4 stay in a pen in the back yard and every once in a while we will clean Sammie up and bring her in.
Our Cat: I have always loved cats, but there is something with this one. He is mean, but My little brother had gave KB a cat for her birthday one year and we were giving all the kittens a way, but before I gave them all away, the momma cat got in my van. I heard her when I got 1/2 way of where I was going and had planned on shutting the door before she could get out, but it didn't happen that way. So, we landed up with this mean cat.
Our Bird:
My sister in law bought 2 birds, then decided that they were too much trouble, so I told her to bring them here. The other bird died last year, but this one is still hanging in there. We have had her about 4 years.
Our Fish: KB wanted some fish for her 10th birthday, so we got her a lot of pretties. The all have died since, but a friend of ours gave her some guppies. I now know why they did, they multiply like crazy!
(Don't have picture of the fish because I need to clean the tank)
I couldn't end this post with introducing my mom's new play pretty. She bought her Border Collie for Christmas for she wouldn't get lonely. Her cat came up missing about 2-3 months ago, so she has decided to get a puppy. His name is Topper.
OH! Maw's (Dan's grandmother) horse she raised from a baby because here mom abandoned her.
And last but not least, my biggest pet of all. My big ole bear! LOL! He is hairy and can be a mean ass, but sometimes is nothing but a teddy bear.

7 Things about me
Chris B has tagged me for this meme. I had been thinking of doing a 300 things about me post since I just crossed over my #300th post, but thought that would be a long boring. So, this way I can do some things about me, but cut it really short! LOL!
Here's my 7:
1: I was a Cub Scout leader & Cub Master for 4-5 years.
2: I went through Wood Badge through Boy Scouts.
3: Through Wood Badge I was a Buffalo.
4: During Wood Badge I received the name "Bubbles the Buffalo", because of my personality.
5: I was only a Boy Scout leader 1 year.
6: I REALLY miss being a Boy Scout Leader.
7: No! I'm not a pervert! I'm just not girly enough for the Girl Scouts in our area and my boys are older so, we did Boy Scouts 1st.
The "rules" are:
1) Link to the person who tagged you.
First word of this post...
2) Post the rules on your blog.
3) Share 7 facts about yourself.
4) Tag 7 random people and include links to their blogs. With no obligation to accept the tag I hope these guys will let us in on a few secrets!!!
5) Let each person know they have been tagged by leaving a comment on their blog.
Here's the 7 I would like to tag:
Holly
jobeaufoix
Terri (June Bug)
Ami
Lisa's chaos
Kaytbug
Pamela

A body found burned near our local Wal Mart
Our local News station's story about a body found. This story is so watered down! The news makes me so mad at times!
My sister in law was there when the body was discovered and I have talked with several employees from Wal Mart. They say that the man was burned beyond recognition. They said that a white truck dropped him off at 7 AM, he went in to Wal Mart and bought something, then walked into the woods. Some of the employees saw the fire and when the management team went to put the fire out, they found this body. They have all this on video, but don't know who was in the truck and if the death was suicide, accidental, or a murder. It is so sad about this man and I guess they will find out who he is when they do the autopsy.
One sad thing is that everytime our little town has something to put it on the map or show focus on it, it is always negative.
Up Date: They did find out the man was from Bruce, MS.

On my little sop box about Public School
(I know I have a few friends that don't home school and I hope I don't offend. This is mainly about the school system we live in. I'm hoping to inform people, not cut anyone down.)
Some of you know I pulled my children out of school 3 years ago. One of the reasons was that I was tired of fighting the school system over KB. At the end of that school year the teacher came to me and told me if I didn't intervene with KB she would fall through the cracks. Shortly after I pulled them out of school I found out that they all 3 had dyslexia. DJ's dyslexia is only mild, but JB & KB's is very severe. I was very green about home schooling and took all the help I could get. When I pulled them out Jb still qualified for speech, mainly because he had nodules on his vocal cords. We went to speech the 1st 2 weeks of the next year, then the next 4 months they would call and say the speech teacher was out of town. One week I called to let them know that JB was in the hospital and we couldn't make it. They told me if I couldn't bring him not to bother bringing him back, so I didn't. In the mean time I heard from someone that the only reason they wanted me to sign him up was to get money, but they wasn't really interested in my child. I had made up my mind not to do speech the next year. But when the next year rolled around the new speech teacher called me and promised me that she would make sure JB got what he needed and she did. She was very helpful to us. She would give us all kind of stuff to help with our home schooling. We didn't get to finish out year with her because my mom got sick and it got to be too much on me. At the end of that school year I found out that a teacher had went back to school to learn how to help dyslexic children, because so many kids were falling through the cracks. She went to the superintendent 3 times and asked if she could have these kids that needed extra help. At first he told her the school didn't have enough money, I'm not really sure what he said the 2nd time, and the 3rd time he told her that he didn't want these kind of kids in his school system. She turned in her noticed and opened a center for dyslexic kids. I haven't had the money to send mine to her to get help, but through these 2 years I had found ways to help them at home. This made me mad and with momma's history of getting sick I had decided not to send JB to speech this year, but the speech teacher this year talked me into signing him back up. Plus Dan Dan's mom has talked JB in going back to public school to play foot ball next year. The school had agreed to tutor JB and do a full speech therapy among with helping him with is nodules, but we had to go to the Dr 1st and have him check to see his nodules had grown or not. When I carried him to the Dr he said JB's nodules were gone. I sent the Dr's note the the school and waited 3 weeks for a letter to tell me when they were going to start working with JB. They sent me a letter saying that since the Dr didn't find nodules they couldn't except JB in to the program. I called for 2 weeks to ask why they couldn't do the rest of what they had told me, but never got a reply, which in a way was okay with me.
(Okay! Here is were my gripe really begins)
JB has his mind to go to school and so many teachers and others have told me because of JB's dyslexia that he would probably put in this new program they have to help kids not fall the cracks. It's not called special ED and it's different than special Ed. It would make sure he gets all his basics necessary to graduate. I was sorta okay with it and still not feeling good about sending him to school, but have decided to wait till next school year to deal with all this and ask God to guide me.
Well, the other day my nephew that had went through this program everyone has told me about, went to ICC to go to college, only to find out that the sheet of paper he got when he graduated was not even equivalent to a GED. So, I went to a lady in our church that has a son that is graduating this year and is in this program. I asked her about him getting a diploma, she said that he would get a sheet a paper saying that he went 12 years of school. I told her about my nephew and now she is as up set as me. They say they have a NO CHILD LEFT BEHIND ACT, but what good is this ACT if if only the school gets funding from it, but it don't help the child in the future! I still don't know how to handle this with JB because he has his mind set to play football, but I think it's a crying shame that the school system that really don't want kids with learning problems will prey on them just to get funding! It's really sad.
So, if anyone out there has a child like my JB and the school has that child in this program, I would look in to it! Because in the end you will still have to go get them a GED to be able to go through college.

Happy New Year!
This is our Youth Drama Team from our Church. We went to the church last night and brought in the New Year. The big blonde headed boy is my oldest. (14) The small red Head is my middle child. (13) Little Red is new to these dramas since he just crossed over to the teens, but I still think he did a fine job. (That's also why he & the little girl on the end don't have a drama shirt yet.)
Oh! On one of the vidoes I got sissy mocking the bigger kids. LOL!
It has took me all day to get these up loaded, but I did it! Yeah! Me!
Hope You Enjoy!
