Is a GED as good? Some say yes and some say no and I say I don't know. I really would like for him to get his HS diploma. I'm going to call a school in Memphis, TN for I can help him get his diploma. I'm also wondering what electives you can earn in HS. I know Art, Bible and Music, but what other I'm not sure but would like to know. I also wonder about labs. Very ambitious.
My son did not get a diploma. He filled in the blank that asked, "Did you graduate" with "yes" registered for the CC and took the placement test, paid his money and started classes. When he transfers to another college, his college credits will go with him.

Really? I thought you had to show proof of a diploma or GED. That would be cool if I don't have to have proof. This is my second year to home school and I'm still learning.

Always check the laws in your own state. Consult other homeschoolers who have gone before you, they're often a wealth of information. Don't talk to the school district, although it wouldn't hurt to call your local CC if you have one and find out what the admissions requirements are for homeschoolers.
