A little heads up about......

Biblical numbers. (Some numbers have more than one meaning. It's just depends on how it is used. What applies to one may not apply to another.) Like with words. Let me give you an example. The word love can be used in so many ways. Did you know that the word love is not used in Hebrew. They have a lot of other words that mean love from the English language.
There is also more in depth studies like Biblical Mathematics and Numerology.
I just thought this would be neat to share.
Hope you enjoy my little meme!
(I'm going to try and keep this little reminder up top as a reminder while I do my meme. So, All other post will be below this.)

Number 5

Biblical meaning: Five: Grace; atonement; fivefold ministry; service (five fingers on the hand); bondage; complete wellness. (Is. 1: 12-14; Matt. 25: 2; Eph. 4: 11; Mark 6: 38-40; Luke 9: 13-16; Gen. 1: 20-23)
Meaning for me: I have been fortunate enough to have 2 families of 5 in my life time. 1st is my mom, 3 brothers and myself. My mom did a wonderful job being a nurse and raised 4 kids all by herself. 2nd is my family I have now; Dan, our kids and myself.

(Both of these pics are several years old. The last one is when Dan and I renewed our vows 3 years ago. Plus, this is an aweful picture of me! It also shows really how much my kids have grown in 3 years, mostly Aron)

Number 4

Biblical meaning: Four: World; earth; creation; creative work; four winds; four seasons; four corners of the earth; rule and reign over the earth; global implications such as east, west, north, south; territorial specific realm implications. (Gen. 2: 10; 41: 34; Rev. 5: 9; 7: 1, 9; 13: 7; Is. 58: 6-10; Ez. 42: 20; 46: 21; Lev. 11: 20-27; 27: 31; John 8: 34; 1 Cor. 15: 39)

My number 4: My 4 nieces! The one sitting in the grey is the oldest and in her 2nd year of RN school. The one standing behind her in the white is next to the oldest. She hasn't quite figured what she wants to do in life as far as a career. The other one setting is the 3rd one and she is in her 1st year of RN school. (She is the the one that is the most like me). The other one standing in the black and grey is my youngest niece. She is still trying to figure out her way. And of course I had to put my little Princess in there. LOL!
I Love all these girls with every inch of my heart! Even though we have had our ups, downs, ins & outs, We still are very close and I'm proud of everyone of them!

Biblical meaning: Three and Third: Complete; perfection; witness; divine fullness; solid attributes; Godhead; conform; resurrection power over sin; divine fullness. (Romans 3: 9; 6: 9; 1 Sam. 3: 8; Jonah 1: 16-17; 20: 1-9; 1 John 5: 6-7; Col. 2: 9; Eph. 3: 19; 4: 13; John 1: 16)
Number 3 for me: My 3rd and last child! She's my baby girl! KB is a very Happy-Go-Lucky person. KB is a momma and daddy's girl. She enjoys being outdoors, cheerleading, drama, singing, being with friends, encouraging others, enjoys learning, cooking/baking and just loves life! KB (Little Princess) will be 11 in 3 days. (GULP) It wont be long and I will have all teens. (Sigh)

My number 2: My second child, Red. He is my outdoorsman! He loves fishing, hunting, baseball, football, building things and following every foot step his daddy makes! He started puclic school this year to play football, even tho I wasn't 100% behind it, I let him go. He is really enjoying so far. He is my child that beats to a different drum than others and I really try to let him follow his own path as long as I know he is not going to far. LOL!

(Maybe not all in that order) He will be 15 in 6days! He also gets his permit next month. (My baby is growing so fast! (I don't know if I should be happy or cry! I think I will do both!)

1, 2, 3 Meme

At the beginning of our school last year I did an ABC meme that I had found off of someone's Blog. Since I Love numbers and finding their Biblical meaning, I thought I would do a number’s meme. I’m not really sure exactly how this is going to work out, but I had thought of listing the biblical meaning & a picture and a description.
Example: Give meaning, then maybe a picture of my oldest son since he is my 1st born and tell you why he is number one to me.
I guess we will just have to wait and see how it turns out. I hope it is as fun as it 1st seemed when I came up with the idea and it’s not too hard. I will start my new adventure either later tonight or early morning. I just hope it is as fun as the ABC meme.
Until next time….. Hope you have a HAPPY!

Gossip

Gossip :
Rumor or talk of a personal, sensational, or intimate nature.
A person who habitually spreads intimate or private rumors or facts.
Trivial, chatty talk or writing.
A close friend or companion.

Idle, often sensational and groundless talk about others:
gossipry, hearsay, report, rumor, talebearing, tattle, tittle-tattle, word. Slang scuttlebutt. See words.
A person habitually engaged in idle talk about others:
blab, gossiper, gossipmonger, newsmonger, rumormonger, scandalmonger, tabby, talebearer, taleteller, tattle, tattler, tattletale, telltale, whisperer.

Light informal conversation for social occasions; A report (often malicious) about the behavior of other people; A person given to divulging personal information about others.

Compare backbiting.

************************************************************

This is one word that gets on my ever loving nerves!
If anyone that reads my Blog is a gossip, I hope not to offend. This is my on personal opinion and rant. If someone is happy and can live with being a gossip, I have no problem. My problem is to a small group of “home” ladies. My problem is that “I” don’t fit in because I don’t gossip! (This is the 1st part of rant) I feel just because I’m not one to give you the latest scoop and dirt on someone that you don’t have anything to say to me. I feel that if I accept you for you then you should accept me for me. People should be able to have small talk with out having to have the latest news, someone’s faults or whatever! Plus, this same group of ladies asks if they could come visit my mom, I thought it would be a great idea since she doesn’t get out unless we go to the Dr and the only company is her kids and grand- kids. All these ladies did the whole time they were there was gossip among their selves and not once ask if my mom needed anything, talk with her or anything else. All their visit did was make momma nervous because she couldn’t hear half what was said and they were so loud. You don’t go to a sick person’s house and act like that in my opinion! You don’t have to act like they are dieing, you can help them laugh, but leaving them out and doing nothing but gossiping about others is no way to act!
(My 2nd part of rant) Is that a lot of gossip has been going around my family and it is causing a wedge between us. To me this is what gossip does. (Our family has always been so close knit.) If you have a problem with someone then go to that person don’t go around talking about them behind their back.
On my side of the family I have 4 nieces and I have always been very close to each one, especially one in particular. She and I have never fussed; I can’t say that with the others. I try not to be one that has favorites but SD and I have always had a special bond. Well, the other day SD and I got into a big argument, I mean major! She kept twisting my words and some had to do with somebody going around spreading gossip that wasn’t even ½ way true, all this did was had fuel to her fire, matter fact, it started the fire. (Which I didn’t know about most till 3-4 days after the big blow up) Plus, to my surprise she is going around still twisting my words and making what was small very huge.
Heck! Life is hard enough without all the extra drama and IMO; everybody has more than enough in their own world without sticking their nose in someone else’s. I know I do.
Well, I guess I’m over my rant! I just hope I didn’t offend anybody. Know I just need to figure out what I need to do with this group of ladies and my family.
Hope you have a happy!

cucumbers and more cucumbers!

This year we have been so very blessed with plenty of cucumbers! Which is a very good thing! Last year we planted about the same as this year, but only had enough mainly for canning pickles. I don't really care for pickles, Dan does. Dan don't really care for cucumbers, but I do.
The other day I had 2 of my great nephews here and they kept going to the garden getting cucumbers. I'm talking about 10! Which we enjoyed very much with the home made ranch dressing I made. (hehehehe!) But I did get worried about Dan not having enough for his pickles he was getting ready to make. Well, 2 days later Dan went to check the cucumbers and I was shocked to find the above. He picked over 20 lbs of cucumbers! 2 of them weighed 1lb 11 oz. So, that tells me he will have one more good picking for pickles (this was his 3rd or 4th batch) and the kids and I still have plenty for enjoying! YUM!!!!

I think my flower is a Spider Flower, not Granpa Whiskers

Cleome gets it's nickname "Spider Flower" from the spidery-like flowers with long, waving stamen which are held on tall, strong leafy stems. It is one of the few annuals that looks at home among shrubs and perennials. Planted in mass, they look like blooming shrubbery with 8-inch balls of blossoms. They will reach a height of 6 feet in a good season. Violet Queen (pictured), Cherry Queen, Pink Queen and Helen Campbell (white) are among the most popular cultivars.
Start seeds indoors four weeks before the last frost or plant them directly outdoors in spring after danger of frost has passed. Germination takes about 10 days. Space the plants about 1 foot apart. They will often reseed themselves. The seeds will lie dormant until spring. Hybrids will not breed true.
Cleome tolerates heat and dry weather well, and continue to look good well into the summer. Lower leaves tend to fall at the end of summer, and this can be covered by companion plants.
They make excellent cut flowers if conditioned by soaking them in very warm water, but their musky scent is sometimes not pleasant. For the same reason, you may not want to plant them near windows and doors.
Staking is usually not necessary, and they are not bothered by pests and disease. Protection from strong winds is advisable. They are a favorite of hummingbirds.
What do you think?

My garden and little pretties

This year we wasn't able to plant as much as we did last year, but we still have enough of what we have planted to put up for the winter, unlike last year. Instead of planting a lot of different stuff in one small area, we planted more of the same thing in our little area. We were going to put our peas and beans down at pops, but because of me having to spend so much time with momma and gas prices, we just decided to wait and make another spot in our yard next year for that and buy them in bulk. I guess you can say that is one disadvantage of living in the city part instead of the country part. LOL!

I was told these are Grandpa Whiskers, but was not able to find them on the web. (Under grandpa whiskers, I kept finding day lilies. As you can tell these are not day lilies.) They are very pretty and very easy to grow. Which is a plus for me this year. Let me just tell you how easy: Dan's dad gave them to us dead. He said they might come back next year. Mmmmmmm. In 2 weeks they are blooming like crazy! Then somebody stomped everyone down except the one that is hanging off to the side. Two weeks later they are all back prettier than ever. You can't get much easier than that. LOL!
If anyone knows what these little pretties are, I would really appreciate it. Thanks!!!

A little get away

Last week end we went to Geyser Falls. We had a lot of fun, but didn't seem last long enough. LOL! (Sorry no pictures, I forgot and left the camera in the van.)
Just to come home and find that momma's swelling is worse. She is swelling in her chest and feet. Her breathing isn't much better either. I'm not complaining, but it is so hard to watch my mom suffer so much. This is surely not how I had imagined her last days. She has worked so hard her whole life and raised 4 kids by herself. I imagined her being able to enjoy her golden years and working her flower beds. It just don't seem fair.
Take care!

My computer has been down

I have been about to have a dieing duck! I have called for almost a week before I could get my Internet server out here. I would call and after an hour on the phone, they would say I needed a service call because my cable modem was froze up. The next day nobody would show. (((SIGH))) Then I would call and someone else would say they took my order off for a service call because it showed on their end that I had Internet. (((SIGH))) I had to get RUDE before I got their attention. Gosh this aggravates the mess out me! Well, that's why I haven't been online.I'll catch up or at least try tomorrow.

NickelBack - How you remind me Piano Arrangement

I really love this song, even it don't fit the reason why I'm posting it, it fits me. My Uncle Buddy passed away yesterday. He was my mom's last living sibling. I'm having a very hard time dealing. I know I LOVED him very much, but I think with everything going on, it just made it a little harder to deal.
If you don't mind, keep me in your thoughts and prayers.
Thank you~

A little glimpse into our Summer

This past May, our niece and a little guy from our church graduated. KB and me didn't get to their graduation till the very end, but we were still able have a little fun and CAKE!

One good thing about this summer, is Dan has got to spend more time with kids. As you can tell they all have had a great time! (Even our neighbor and nephews!)

June 2nd was Dan's Birthday. This was the 1st time in 16 years I bought a cake instead of making one. My kids were a little jealous, but trust me, this cake didn't get ate like the ones I make. LOL! I was crunched for time so we bought it. Not sure if we will do the same for the kids or not, but trust me if I don't have more time when their birthdays come I may have to.

This is only some of Maw's grand kids, great grands and great great grands. (Dan's grandmother) On the 4th of July Maw has her family reunion. We had a Great time.
Here is Dan's grandmother (Maw) and his mom.
This is all 3 of Maw's kids
Our Eli had to show me his dragon. LOL! He loves dragons.

I'm not dead....

Just so busy. I'm sorry I haven't had time to come and post or visit. I do want to thank those who have sent me an email to check on me and the one's who have commented on my last post. My mother has been more demanding of me; it's not that she is worse: I'm not sure what you would call it. She was doing very well. She had even drove herself to church and just seem to have a complete turn around, then she’s back down where she can’t give herself a bath. I don’t think it’s all her health, I think it’s more mental. We had been putting off her Last Will of Testament and her Living Will and I told her we needed to get it done, because we needed to get it signed while my little brother was off for vacation and I knew it would take a while to get it done. She went off on me! I found out then that my oldest niece had been hounding momma about what all she was going to get of mother’s. I reassured momma that I wasn’t trying to push her in her grave and I was having a hard time with it also. She got to acting a little better and I was able to go through most of her house; like she wanted and get all the legal stuff wrote up. I also was able to clean a bunch of junk out of her house. On top of dealing with momma, since my brothers don’t seem to know how to take turns, and dealing with my kids; my husband decided to let his real self show. He decided to be the biggest BUTT on the PLANET! So, not only have I been running so fast that I can’t catch up with myself; I haven’t had anything good to say. (Momma always said if you have nothing good to say; say nothing at all! LOL!) Dan Dan has decided that he picked the wrong time to mess with me and has decided to be really sweet. Not this week end, but the two before, he took the kids and I camping and swimming. I really needed that time out, but momma’s demanding didn’t slow down. I’m not really sure what this week holds and I hope momma will calm down a bit since we finally got all the legal stuff behind us.
I can’t promise I will be able to be online much to post or visit, but I really hope I do. I’m a little worried about what this school year is going to bring. I had to stop our schooling short last year and have never picked back up yet. With everything going the way it has, I went ahead and signed my middle child back in public school. (He wants to play football.) Even thou I wasn’t all that happy with it, I thought it may be best. Now, I’m worried about the other 2. Maybe momma will stop being so demanding of me, and we can work something out about schooling.
I hope to see you all more often and hope all is well!
Take care!
